First of all Alliances are in desperate need of faction donation records
Officers and Leaders need to see who is donating and who isn't. There needs to be maybe a window with all the donations made, when they were made and by whom. Most members don't donate if there is no proof they didn't or if there is no instint reward. Records are perfect for contests, prevents cheating.

The records could show 1 week of donations and go by the day who donated each day and how much they donated that day.

This is desperatly needed. I made a suggestion about this long ago but it was blighted by people whining about elitism and fantasies about abuse and so forth. No doubt the same will happen here.

I don't see why not, If your in a guild whos goal is controlling a town and you have people leeching off the guild for cheap keys or something its the same thing as leeching in alliance battles, but with a more clear solution.

It's a good cause, but to Big Brotherish. When I was in DTH alliance it was mandatory to donate 5 k and say in guild chat "<--- 5 k", or even 10 k. When said an officier would open window and see if that person donated or not cause the guild faction would go up.

my guild is doing an incentive program to turn it in to the guild instead of for ambers and jades. we reward for turning it in. this would help us track it

I went thru this process of having to transfer faction, but once our alliance owned zu heltzer... it was boring... faction farming is stupid lol... if im gonna farm faction to get cheaper keys... ill farm and sell the amber/jade and buy keys for 120 gold more... whats the point of owning a town? if your name doesnt appear on the town ... no one knows... unless u lead the alliance. Until they make each town have its own special mission, im against any faction donating.

Why would i spend hours running in circles to get 400 faction each run. to donate to a guild. I guess im just selfish, but that was a waste of time for me. better quit the guild if u want to PvE or buy kurzick/luxon cuz we are watching you. then the guilds become more like jails. no freedom at all.

Factio farming needs a better reward.

A guild, an ALLIANCE.. they aren't made for people to do all sorts of things at different times..

They are for people who THINK and PLAY ALIKE. If your guild is a faction farming guild and you are a money horder go find a guild who does the same. Then make an alliance of guilds who do the same thing. But if your guild is faction farming and you don't want to don't feel you should then YOUR IN THE WRONG GUILD GET OUT!

this thread wasn't meant for opinions on faction farming it was for whether this would be a good thing for faction oriented alliances and guilds to keep track of things.

Farming for jadeite is the worst possible way to get gold on top of all this. If you want to get rich go make a 55 monk or ss necro, and go dual farm uw. or make a 55 and solo bergen hotsprings or elona reach, or droks. But farming faction for gold is just about the slowest possible way to get your gold up.
